As a reminder, Parent-Teachers conferences are Tuesday and Thursday this week. We would love to see our parents participate in this. They are important even if you do not have current academic concerns. Being involved in your child's education is very important. When parents actively participate in their child’s education—by attending meetings, communicating with teachers, or simply showing interest in schoolwork—it sends a powerful message that learning matters. Studies show that students with involved parents tend to have better grades, improved behavior, and stronger social skills. More importantly, they feel supported and motivated, knowing their education is a shared priority at home and at school. Please contact Miranda at the school to schedule a conference with your child's teacher. It is not too late to schedule.

Mexican Heritage Month was celebrated today by 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders! Students enjoyed tacos, nachos, salsa, cheese, chips, rice, along with Mexican cake, Mexican soda, and punch. They played pin the tail on the donkey and busted a piñata filled with sweet treats! Wow, what a fun week of learning! #learningisfun

Lifesavers and Fellowship of Christian Athletes hosted a lock in last night.

Our junior high and high school bass fishing teams participated in their first fishing tournament of the year. We had 1 junior high boat of Aspen and Audra and 3 high school boats of Maci and Braidan, Maura and Drake, and Aubrey and Mylee. The tournament was held at Kincaid Lake with a total of 44 boats in the tournament. We had 2 boats place in the top 10. Congratulations anglers on a great start to your fishing season.

Tomorrow will be the last opportunity to place an order for the Coulterville Eagles blankets the PTT is selling. If you would like to place an order, send the money and order to school tomorrow in a sealed envelope.

Reminder, our food pantry will be open today from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. We ask you use the north gym doors and not arrive before 3:00 p.m.

Miles for Smiles will be at our school on Thursday. Forms along with a letter were sent home last week. If you are wanting your student to have a dental cleaning and/or exam, please make sure the forms are completed and returned to school by tomorrow. If you need a new copy of the form, please stop by the office tomorrow and fill out a form. As a reminder, it is a state requirement for all students in kindergarten, 2nd, 6th, and 9th grade and any new student to Illinois. If you have any questions, please contact Miranda at the school.

Tomorrow we will be recognizing our 8th grade baseball players beginning at 4:30 p.m. Please come cheer them on as they take the field at their last home game as an Eagle.

This is a tentative schedule of events for this week.

This year we started Wellness Wednesdays by making smoothies for the students before school. The first 2 weeks we were able to give them to the students. Beginning this week, we started charging a small fee to cover the fruit costs. This has been a huge success!

Rep. Friess stopped by school today. He took a tour of our school, met with Caleb(who he met over the summer to celebrate his state shot put win), and interacted with our staff and students. Thank you to Rep. Friess for spending the day with us.
