1st and 2nd grade also enjoyed the Conservation Fair in DuQuoin today. They were able to enjoy many hands on activities with reptiles, composting, clean/dirty water, and migration

Our elementary students are at the Conservation Fair in DuQuoin today. This morning third and fourth grade students learned about earthquakes, minerals, trees, and Asian carp.

Our next farm to table food distribution will be held on Monday, October 5 from 9:30-11:00 a.m. Drive on the north side of the school, remain in your car, and students will load you with food.

4th grade did play dough, apple sauce, story and social studies mapping of Apples to Oregon, and Estimate versus Actual using apples in math (weight, circumference, radius, seed count, and bites to get to the core). Then, they created a time line of 10 different apples and played a game! #learningisfun

3rd grade spent the day completing activities that had an apple theme as a way to celebrate Johnny Appleseed Day.

5th grade celebrated Johnny Appleseed by having activities and snacks that had an apple theme.

Today kindergarten made caramel apple art with puff paint, did a fizzy apples science experiment and made their own apple scented play doh ☺️

1st grade celebrated Johnny Appleseed Day by making an apple grabber and enjoying apple themed snacks.

Mrs. Carter's students have been learning how to measure, so they took learning outside today. They found several things to measure using their feet to measure.

Tomorrow, we will be celebrating Dolly Day. Please wear something pink, sparkly, or with butterflies. Dolly Parton was a true inspiration to others from being kind, never forgetting where she came from, and encouraging reading through her Imagination Library which put books in the hands of children.

Eagles basketball will hold a meeting on Monday October 5 for parents and players. The meeting begins at 5:30 with practice to follow.

Band is canceled tomorrow, Thursday Sept. 24 for both Junior High and High School band.
